Suzanne, Josh and Sealy

Suzanne needed a wedding present for her sister-in-law who already has everything. What could be more perfect than some family portraits? Nothing, in my humble opinion. :)

So we met up at the park on a very warm afternoon and took the following pics (plus more) in a 30-minute time span. The three-year-old lost interest after about 15 minutes, which is totally normal. And makes me feel better about my own three-year-old who frequently implores me to "put away the camera!"

Lynn & Alisa

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the commitment celebration of a beautiful couple, Lynn and Alisa. They had a fantastic party at Mercury Hall, which was punctuated by the heartfelt ceremony and exchange of rings. These ladies were surrounded by loving friends and family...who all knew how to have a really good time! There was even a second line dance around the building, in honor of Lynn's New Orleans roots. Fun, fun, fun! I feel honored to have been witness to such a momentous occasion in this couple's lives. Thank you so much!

Seriously cute kid

I've photographed little Peyton a few times in the past 2 years, but I hadn't seen him this mobile or engaged before. It was great! He is such a little cutie-pie, and I loved all the hugs I got during the shoot. What a nice afternoon.

Lindsey

It's been a while since I posted, but I'm so excited to share these bridal portraits. Lindsey is now officially married, so there's no chance of spoiling the surprise!

We did the session at Laguna Gloria again; such a beautiful and inspiring spot. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting or gorgeous bride.

Love is in the air

Had a great time photographing Lindsey and Matt, who will be married in October, at Laguna Gloria. I hadn't been out there in a while and boy, was I blown away! That place looks great right now.

And though I'm not shooting my own weddings right now, I'm enjoying second shooter duties with some of Austin's finest and most talented wedding photographers, including Jennifer Lindberg and Denise Prince Martin. It's a great experience to be able to work with these folks whose work I have long admired. Can't wait for the next one!

In the meantime, enjoy a few of my favorite images of sweet Lindsey and Matt.

Beautiful Bellies!

Hi, everyone. Just getting my photo blog up and running, but wanted to share some great images from a "belly" session last month with the gorgeous Maggie, who is expecting her second soon. Maggie really wanted a vintage and playful feel to her photos, and it ended up being a blast.
After we did some photos at her house, we packed the beach ball, bikini and parasol into the '70s convertible and headed down to Barton Springs. The beautiful water and retro-looking bath house lent themselves perfectly to our theme.
I'm so grateful to Maggie for being so daring and such a joy to work with. Looking forward to doing some more fun belly shoots soon!
Best,
Jennie
